About Me
I am an active attorney located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Much of my career has been spent helping families navigate custody, divorce and child support matters, with a focus on low-income and underrepresented communities. I also strongly believe in providing accessible legal support and advocacy to those who often face barriers in navigating the legal system.
I currently serve as the supervisor for the Civil Commitment Department in the for the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas
Supervisor, Civil Commitment Department, Orphans’ Court Division - Supervises a staff of two clerks and five hearing officers. Presides over civil commitment hearings. Educates Judges and staff on civil commitment matters. Coordinates the Assisted Outpatient Treatment program for the Court.
Custody Hearing Officer, Family Division – Presided over partial custody trials and interim relief hearings. Issued court orders and wrote recommendations and reports regarding child custody and related issues. Conducting custody conciliations.
Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Hugh F. McGough, Family Division – Drafted orders and appellate opinions. Prepared legal research memos for upcoming hearings. Advised on daily proceedings. Reviewed and commented on all motions and exceptions before argument. Oversaw summer internship program.
Staff Attorney, Office of Conflict Counsel – Represented juvenile clients at dependency hearings as guardian ad litem or counsel. Prepared each case as required for full and competent representation of the juvenile client at all court hearings. Representation also included client contact, legal research, attendance at all OCYF services meetings and school scheduled meetings, and contact with all involved mental health professionals.
Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh
Staff Attorney, Civil Law Project – Represented survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) in custody, divorce, support, and protection from abuse actions. Advocated for increased awareness of IPV issues and expanded protections and opportunities for survivors.
Pyfer, Reese, Straub, Gray & Farhat, PC
Associate Attorney, Family Law Section – Developed a full custody and divorce caseload. Regularly represented clients from intake to custody hearings and divorce settlement. Also represented clients in protection from abuse and general civil matters. Advised on IT, social media, and advertising.
Chan, Cheuvront & Associates
Associate Attorney - Represented clients in custody, divorce, and asylum proceedings. Authored a wide variety of custody and divorce complaints, motions, supporting statements for immigration issues, and asylum briefs. Appeared before Immigration Courts in both Philadelphia and York.

Associate Attorney - Independently managed all aspects of a diverse, general practice caseload. Drafted loan documents for local banks. Represented clients at arbitrations, unemployment compensation hearings, depositions, and custody conferences.
